The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has formally received 112 newly passed-out Police Constables who recently completed their training at the Police Training School, Niger State. These officers are part of the 10,000 recruits who graduated on January 23, 2025, and have now been deployed to various commands across the country.
At an official reception held on January 27, 2025, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Olatunji Disu, psc, warmly welcomed the officers, acknowledging the Inspector General of Police for assigning them to the command. He emphasized that their addition would significantly boost the command’s operational capacity to enhance public safety and security across the territory.
In his address, CP Disu urged the newly inducted officers to uphold professionalism, integrity, and discipline in carrying out their duties. He highlighted their critical role in safeguarding lives and property within the FCT and reminded them to adhere strictly to international best practices in policing.
As part of their integration into the force, the Commissioner announced that the officers would proceed on a two-week break before undergoing a specialized retraining program. This program is aimed at refining their skills and preparing them for field operations. Upon completion, they will be strategically deployed and attached to experienced police officers who will mentor and guide them, ensuring they uphold the values of exemplary policing.
The deployment of these well-trained constables reaffirms the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to strengthening security operations in the Federal Capital Territory and maintaining the trust and confidence of residents.
