FCT Commissioner of Police Meets Senior Officers, Calls For Professionalism, Accountability

In a bid to enhance security and policing standards within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, held a strategic meeting with all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), and Tactical Team Commanders.

During the meeting, CP Disu emphasized professionalism, accountability, and improved service delivery, stressing that the security and safety of FCT residents remain the Command’s top priority. He charged senior officers to uphold ethical standards, adhere to best policing practices, and strengthen intelligence-driven policing strategies.

The CP further urged officers to engage local communities, key stakeholders, and sister security agencies to enhance crime prevention and foster public trust. He directed tactical units and divisional heads to intensify operations against criminal hideouts while ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.

Additionally, CP Disu warned against misconduct and negligence, stating that any breach of duty would attract disciplinary action.

He assured FCT residents of the Command’s commitment to maintaining law and order and encouraged them to report suspicious activities through the Command’s emergency lines.
