The family of the late Idowu Keshinro, who was allegedly killed by the well-known land grabber Abubakar Sulaimon, popularly known as Miyaki, is calling on the Inspector General of Police to ensure that justice is served.

Despite being granted bail, Miyaki has failed to provide evidence that he was in Imurah at the time of the incident, raising serious questions about his alibi. The family of the deceased has also expressed concern over Miyaki’s boasts of using his power, connections, and money to evade punishment for his actions.

The family of Idowu Keshinro is urging the police to thoroughly investigate this matter and ensure that no one is above the law. They are calling for transparency and accountability in the handling of this case and are determined to seek justice for their loved one.

“We call on the authorities not to sweep this case under the carpet and to pursue the truth with integrity and diligence,” said a family member who wished to remain anonymous. “The family of Idowu Keshinro deserves answers, and they will not rest until they find justice for their beloved family member.”

The family member further stated, “Instead of laying low after being granted bail, Miyaki continues to threaten the family, boasting that he will use his money, power, and position to sweep the case under the carpet and that he will come back to deal with the family later. This is why the family is calling on the IGP not to allow Miyaki to escape. He should be re-arrested, investigated, and prosecuted for the offense he committed.”

Miyaki was arrested some weeks ago and detained in Abuja. However, according to reports, he has been granted bail after claiming he was in Umrah, Saudi Arabia, when the unfortunate incident that took the life of Idowu Keshinro occurred.

The family’s appeal highlights the need for a thorough and impartial investigation to ensure justice is served and to restore public confidence in the legal system.
