The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, has commended women for their contributions to the growth and development of Nigeria’s maritime industry.

In a message to mark the 2025 International Women’s Day, shared on his official X handle (@MobereolaD), Dr. Mobereola acknowledged the dedication and resilience of women, highlighting their impact on innovation, inclusivity, and progress in the sector.

NIMASA has been actively promoting gender inclusion in the maritime industry, supporting initiatives that empower women and encourage their participation in the sector.

International Women’s Day is observed globally on March 8 to honor the achievements of women and advocate for gender equality across all fields.
