The Founder and Senior Pastor of Grace Nation Church International, Dr Chris Okafor, has expressed deep satisfaction with the impact of his church’s ongoing palliative and skill acquisition initiatives, saying their success continues to inspire him to do more.

Speaking during a review of the recently concluded outreach, the popular preacher, known for his prophetic insight and philanthropy, emphasized that his ministry remains committed to supporting the poor, widows, and less privileged members of society.

“Our decision to always set aside a period each year to distribute food items and clothing, as well as train willing congregants on various skills, is borne out of the need to offer succour during these challenging economic times,” Dr Okafor stated.

This year’s programme, themed “7 Sundays of Supernatural Help/Charity”, ran from March 9 to April 20, 2025, and saw thousands of attendees—including both members and newcomers—receive essential items such as food and clothing. The event also featured extensive skill acquisition sessions covering soap making, sewing, hair styling, tye and dye, and head-gear tying.

The initiative was carried out through the Chris Okafor Humanity Foundation (COHF), the humanitarian arm of Grace Nation Church International. Dr Okafor reiterated that the church’s humanitarian drive is rooted in biblical principles, noting that “no hungry man can fully hear and imbibe the word of God.”

“Jesus, our Lord, showed us the way by feeding thousands during his teachings,” he said. “We are simply following in His footsteps—complementing our spiritual mission with acts of service that meet people’s everyday needs.”

Dr Okafor, often referred to as the “Generational Prophet,” reaffirmed his ministry’s commitment to expanding its outreach programmes in the future, saying that the feedback and testimonies from beneficiaries continue to motivate him.

“Our modest contribution may not solve all problems, but it gives hope—and that hope is what drives us,” he added.
