The Delta State Police Command under the watchful eyes of CP Ari Muhammed Ali (FCIA, Psc+) recorded another major milestone at one of the new generation banks in Ughelli, Delta State.
According to a statement issued recently, and made avalaible to Hybrid Online News Nigeria, shows that the Police operatives through an intelligence report gathered, informed that a robbery syndicate was planning to attack and rob one of the new generation banks in Ughelli Delta state.
CP Ali however directed Eagle net “Special Squad” headed by SP Usman Dimka to ensure that the criminals are track down.
The “Commander Eagle Net Squad” detailed ‘Eagle Net Special Squad patrol teams led by DSP Yunusa Danyaya’ on a sting operation in one of their hide-out in a hotel in Isiokolo Town of Ethiope East LGA Delta state, led to the earlier arrest of their ring leader, Joshua Oghenenovo, 32yrs ‘male’ of Uduphori town, Patani LGA, with one “Pump Action Rifle with twenty live cartridges recovered from him.
While under interrogation, he made useful confessional statement after his arrest, which led to the arrest of one Kingsley Gbeneku 29yrs ‘male’ of Akwuofor Asaba in Oshimili South, Delta State, a staff of the new generation bank they planned to rob, the bank staff has confessed to be their informant, and had already provided them with a clue on the modus operandi needed for them to attack and rob the bank successfully.
“Serious effort is on to arrest other members of the gang, members of the public are advised to avail the police with any useful information that will help to arrest them”
The CP Ali assured members of the public that the Command under his watch will do all it takes to reduce crime rate reduced it to the barest minimum and will continue, adding that his main objective is to continue arresting criminals in the state to ensure they face the full wrath of the law, he affirmed.
