In a bid to enhance inter-agency collaboration and bolster the fight against crime, Commissioner of Police for Delta State, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, undertook a significant courtesy visit today to key security figures in the state.
CP Abaniwonda Olufemi commenced the day by paying respects to Brigadier General Ugochukwu V. Unachukwu, the Commander of the 63 Brigade, at the 63 Brigade Headquarters in Asaba. The Commissioner highlighted the importance of fostering a strong relationship between the Police Command and other security agencies. He emphasized the role of the Brigade as a crucial stakeholder in combating crime and sought support, collaboration, and partnership.
Brigadier General Unachukwu warmly received the Commissioner and his management team, expressing gratitude for the visit. He assured the CP of a robust partnership, recognizing the shared objective in the ongoing fight against criminal activities in the state.
Following the visit to the 63 Brigade, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi extended his collaborative efforts by visiting Mr. Ademola C. Adebiyi fsi, mni, the Delta State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS). The focus of the discussion centered on cooperation in countering criminal elements, particularly in the realm of intelligence gathering.
The Delta State Director of DSS welcomed the Commissioner and his team, acknowledging the longstanding peaceful relationship between the Police Command and the DSS in the state. He pledged to strengthen this collaboration further under the leadership of CP Abaniwonda Olufemi.
