CP Orutugu Intensifies Safe School Initiative, Applauds Ndi Anambra For Economic Recovery

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has intensified efforts under the Police Safe School Initiative to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and school staff across the state. During a visit to schools on March 12, 2025, the CP emphasized the importance of proactive security measures to protect educational institutions from potential threats.

Accompanied by the Commissioner of Women Affairs, *Hon. Ify Obinabo, CP Orutugu reassured Ndi Anambra and residents that security agencies have taken control of the streets, particularly on Mondays, to counter the disruptions caused by the illegal Sit-at-Home order. He encouraged businesses to operate without fear, highlighting the significant improvement in social and economic activities across the state.

The Police Safe School Initiative focuses on crime prevention, partnerships with school administrators and communities, and providing security resources to educational institutions. The initiative aims to create a safer learning environment, reduce crime, and boost public confidence in the security of schools.

The Anambra State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of all residents, urging the public to support law enforcement efforts in securing the state.
