The Commissioner of Police for the Anambra State Police Command, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration among security agencies to effectively combat crime and other societal issues.

He made this call during a courtesy visit to the Heads of various Security Agencies in Awka, including the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), and the National Drug Laws Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

CP Aderemi Adeoye underscored the importance of maintaining and strengthening the existing cooperation among these agencies in the fight against crime and criminal activities.

He recognized that the Police alone cannot tackle these challenges and emphasized the significance of enhancing the safety and security of the people of Anambra.

He, then, assured the Heads of the security agencies that the doors of the Police Command would always be open for constructive discussions and meaningful engagement.

In response, the Commanders of the respective agencies expressed satisfaction with the visit and pledged their cooperation with the Police in combating insecurity within the state while highlighting the importance of intelligence sharing and joint operations to effectively address the current security concerns.

Also, CP Aderemi Adeoye visited the Catholic Bishop of Awka, Reverend Father Paulinus Ezeokafor, to discuss matters of peace and law enforcement. During the meeting, the Commissioner urged the Church to utilize its platform to advocate for peace, discourage violence, and promote law-abiding behavior among individuals.

The Bishop expressed gratitude to the Commissioner for the visit and offered prayers for the country, the state, the Police Command, and the Commissioner of Police personally. The CP was accompanied by several senior officers from the Police Command, including the Police Public Relations Officer.
