The new Controller of Nigeria Correctional Service, Lagos Command, Controller Francis Adewale Adebisi paid a courtesy visit on the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu, psc+ on Tuesday 27th April, 2021.

The visit according to the press statement by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer DSP Hauwa Idris-Adamu was in furtherance of the collaborative efforts of the Police and the Office of the Controller of Corrections in ensuring justice is served in line with the Administration of Criminal Justice.

The AIG and members of the Zonal Police management team received the Controller and his entourage in his office at the Zonal Command Headquarters, Onikan Lagos.

Controller Adebisi commends officers of the Nigeria Police for the existing synergy and collaboration also in the areas of Proper Police Investigation, preservation of evidences and Prosecution of Offenders as well as protection of lives & property.

In his response; the AIG reiterated the commitment and readiness of the Zone to work hand in hand with the Nigerian Correctional Service and other sister agencies in ensuring the safety and security of the populace.

Iliyasu also lauds the Federal Government of Nigeria for adopting the Community Policing Strategy which is the best way of problem solving at this time; while the visit was drawn to an end amidst exchange of Official Plaques and group photographs.
