Comptroller Hamisu Made Seizures Of Tramadol, Cannabis, And Other Contraband Goods Worth Over N198 Million

In continuation of the fight against smuggling, the Federal Operations Unit, Kaduna under the leadership of Comptroller Albashir Hamisu psc(+) has presented a record of its activities for June 2021.

Comptroller Hamisu presented items worth one hundred and ninety-eight million, one hundred and twenty-six thousand, six hundred and twenty-four naira, ninety-five kobo only (N198,126,624.95), made by officers of FOU Zone B at various locations within the Zone.

Prominent among the items seized were 1,075 packs of tramadol, 314 parcels of cannabis (Indian hemp), 333 cartons of foreign Al Fakher Magic Love also known as shisha, 527 cartons of pharmaceutical products, 670 cartons of foreign spaghetti/macaroni and 428 bags of foreign parboiled rice.

Other items showcased were 108 bales of second hand clothes, 200 cartons of foreign new shoes, 106 kegs of foreign vegetable oil in 25 litres and 10 vehicles as used vehicles/means of conveyance amongst other contraband items.

Comptroller Hamisu further stated that the seizures were made possible by credible information from patriotic members of the public at various locations within the zone.

The Comptroller once again restated the determination of his men to rid the nation of harmful and illegal trade in contraband products.
