Dr. Emmanuel Nweke Okafor a.k.a Emma Ezeagbo has issued a passionate call to the people of Nteje, both at home and abroad, to unite and work towards addressing the challenges facing their community. In a message to fellow citizens, Dr. Ezeagbo highlighted the immense potential of Nteje but noted that its growth has been stunted by neglect and internal conflicts. He urged all “Onye Nteje” to come together and focus on building a better future.

According to Dr. Ezeagbo, Nteje, as the headquarters of Oyi Local Government Area, lacks basic infrastructure such as an ATM machine and adequate healthcare facilities. He emphasized the need for collective action to improve infrastructure, enhance educational support, and drive economic development in the town. He also pointed out that Nteje often falls behind in political representation and infrastructure development compared to neighboring communities.

Ezeagbo expressed his on High Chief Christopher Okechukwu Nnebo, Igwe-Abogu III, and Dr. Nnamdi Ilodiuba, the current President-General (PG) of Nteje. He urged residents to support these leaders in their efforts to bring progress, peace, and unity to the town. He highlighted the educational empowerment initiatives of Chief Nnebo and the commitment of Dr. Ilodiuba to improving Nteje’s situation.

Addressing the mindset of internal divisions, Dr. Ezeagbo called for an end to the habit of undermining one another and instead encouraged collaboration for the common good. “Ndi Nteje must shift focus from internal conflicts to building a stronger, more unified community,” he said, adding that the future of Nteje depends on working together and supporting its leadership.

Dr. Ezeagbo emphasized the need for infrastructure improvements, such as roads and public facilities, to ensure access to essential services. He also stressed the importance of providing educational resources to enhance opportunities for the younger generation, while promoting economic development to create local jobs and discourage youth from resorting to unsustainable means of making a living.

Ezeagbo urged all Nteje citizens to participate in meetings, volunteer their skills, and support local initiatives. He expressed gratitude to various NDU branches across the world, including NDU Germany, NDU UAE, and NDU USA, for their contributions to the community. He encouraged further involvement from the diaspora in supporting Nteje’s development.

In his closing remarks, Ezeagbo stressed the importance of unity and collective action, stating, “Nteje belongs to all of us. Let us rise together to meet the challenges and secure a brighter future for our community.”
