Boss Mustapha, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has added another accolade to his illustrious career as he was conferred with an honorary doctorate degree in Law by the Federal University Wukari, Taraba State. The prestigious award was bestowed upon him during the 6th and 7th combined convocation ceremony of the university.
The Chancellor of the Federal University Wukari, in a unanimous decision by the Senate and the Federal Ministry of Education, presented Boss Mustapha with the degree of Doctor of Laws (Honoris Causa), recognizing his outstanding contributions to public service and national development.
Alongside Boss Mustapha, other notable personalities honored at the event included His Majesty, Manu Ishaku Adda Ali Matakhitswen, the Aku Uka and Chairman of Taraba State Traditional Rulers Council, and Hon. Chief Obadiah Ando, former Minister of Water Resources.
The convocation ceremony, graced by distinguished guests, witnessed the presence of notable figures such as the Visitor to the University, represented by Prof. Muhammad Inuwa Jaafaru, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Lt. Col. (Dr.) Agbu Kefas (Rtd), and several other dignitaries.
Expressing his gratitude on behalf of all the awardees, Boss Mustapha thanked the university senate and management for the prestigious honor. He highlighted the responsibility that comes with the award and pledged continued support for the growth and development of the Federal University Wukari.
In his address to the graduates, Boss Mustapha urged them to utilize their acquired knowledge for nation-building and to honor the sacrifices made by their parents. He emphasized the importance of contributing meaningfully to society and encouraged the graduates to strive for excellence in their respective fields.
Boss Mustapha also commended the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Jude Samanni Rabo, and David Sabo Kente, the Atavon Ekpan Nyifon of the Jukun people of Wukari, for their warm reception and hospitality.
