BAN ON SPY NUMBERS: CP Echeng Establishes An Enforcement Team

“Directs recovery of Police spy plate numbers in Anambra State”

The Commissioner of Anambra State, CP Echeng Echeng, today, Thursday, July 14, 2022, established an enforcement team to ensure the complete recovery of all Police spy plate numbers in Anambra State.

This action was taken in furtherance of the IGP’s recent order banning possession and use of Police SPY Vehicle Number Plates throughout the country.

DSP Ikenga Tochukwu PPRO, Anambra State Police Command confirmed this in a press release to Hybrid News.

In his remarks to the Command’s Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and other heads of formations, CP Echeng charged the officers with providing the enforcement team’s efforts to carry out the order exactly to the letter with their full support.

Echeng highlighted once more that the directive was a part of intentional steps taken to increase internal security in the nation and stop people driving under the cover of SPY police number plates from routinely breaking traffic laws and other laws governing road users.

In a similar manner, he urged the general populace, particularly Ndi Anambra, to ensure voluntary adherence to the instructions or face arrest for doing so.
