At Service Of Songs, Nwakobi, Others Eulogise Nneka Perpetua Ekwefi


•As many pay glowing tributes to Nneka (Nee Nwankwo)

A service of songs was, yesterday, held for Nneka Perpetua Ekwefi, wife of Mr Basil Ekwefi and the Accountant General of Jenesis Colony Limited, at Jericho Villa Hotel, 6 Nwakobi Street Eti-Osa Lekki Lagos.

Reverend Zech Adikpewun on Saturday charged mourners, irrespective of religion, tribe to strive and leave good and virtuous legacies during their sojourn on earth.

Adikpewun gave the admonition during the service of songs held in Jericho Villa Hotel as part of the activities of the funeral service for the Late Jericho Villa Accountant General Late Mrs Nneka Perpetua Ekwefi.

He emphasised the need for all to live an impactful life by positively touching the lives of the needy so as to leave a remarkable memory in the hearts of the people during their lifetime and after exiting the world.

This is the time of reflection of our individual life. One day, people would sit down like this to talk about us after our death,” Adikpewun stated.

In Nwakobi’s tribute: “She knew what was important to do and to emphasise and she worked very hard with the zeal and speed of one who knew that we don’t have all day, she was all in all that I have ever wanted, and she was an epitome of commitment, dedication and loyalty, I was packing Nneka to speak for me when am gone, not for me to be speaking for Nneka at this time. She understood the dynamics and urgency of reaching out and bringing situation to the coolest demand”

Barrister Dennis, the company’s lawyer, describing her as a blessing, stated that the deceased had lived a life of loving deeds and left an impact on the lives of all she came across.

In his condolence message, the company’s general manager, Mr Mike “We understand how difficult it is to bear the loss of a loved one but we want you to take consolation in the fact that there is life after death and God being with you, the fortitude to bear the pain is assured.”

Also, at the Service of Songs, Nkky baby as she was fondly called by her co-workers was described as a humble woman whose legacies will live on.

Family, friends and well-wishers came together on Saturday to relate their experiences with the late Nneka Perpetua Ekwefi.

Mrs Nneka Perpetua Ekwefi died at the age of 38 years old and the Burial Arrangement:- requiem Mass – Tuesday, 13th of July 2021 @ Our Lady Mother Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Ado Road Ajah Lagos by 6.30pm

Further a Vigil Mass – Thursday, 22nd July, 2021 @ Anene Ekwefi’s Compound, Umuejiofor Village Ifite Nteje by 5pm.

FRIDAY : By 7am, body leaves Borromeo Mortuary to her Father’s compound at Umuanugwo village Ifitedunu for a brief stopover before proceeding to her husband’s home at Anene Ekwefi’s compound, Umuejiofor Village Ifite Nteje for lying in state. Burial Mass – Friday, 23rd July, 2021 @ St Anthony of Padua Catholic Parish, Ifite Nteje by 10am. Interment and condolence visits follows immediately after the mass. Thanksgiving Mass on Sunday 25th July at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Parish, Ifite Nteje by 9am.

Also speaking, the Acting General manager of Jericho Villa Hotel “Nneka never had pride in life and this is one of the attributes of saints. Only the saints would have their rightful place in the book of life. When it’s our time, what would people say about us.”

“Nneka never used her position to oppress anybody. We are talking about this great and humble woman now that she is gone. What is the legacy you want to leave behind as a person?

“We shall forever remember and be grateful to her. Her name is on the marble on the wall of Jericho Villa Hotel.
