Academic Staff Union Of Polytechnics, Igbesa Chapter has threatened to truncate the forthcoming examinations of HND1 and ND1 at Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa (OGITECH).

A letter made available to press by the Union Publicity Secretary, Comrade Bamgbose Fatai and signed by the Chairman of the Chapter Comr. Gafar Oluwasegun Quadri and the General Secretary, Kazeem Sholotan confirmed that the proposed action was an exco decision after exhausting all peacefull means of pressing home thier demands.

The letter stated that the Zonal Cordinator of ASUP, Zone C, Engr. Ashafe Yekini addressed a meeting of the four(4) ICT Polytechnics chairmen of ASUP on Thursday 4th of May, 2023 at the Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa. Engr. 

“Comrade Ashafe Yekini has promised to picket any institution in Zone C who does not take their members’ welfarism as a priority and seriously frown at the Igbesa chapter chairman for not reporting the Council and Management for refusal to  constitute the Budget monitoring Committee of the Revitalization Fund before presenting the budget. 

“Though, he promised the institute will not get the second trench of the fund and will be denied access to the first trench released already if the needful is not done within two(2) weeks.” It read.
