The Zamfara State Police Command has Succeeded in arresting one Suleiman Baba Maiyaki, in connection with the alleged offences above. The arrest was sequel to a report received from a complainant one Zaharaddeen Bashir from Kwotorkoshi emirate in Bungudu LGA. This was contained in a press statement by the Spokesperson of the command SP Mohammed Shehu ANIPR to Hybrid Online News Nigeria.

The Complainant who happened to be an Okada rider was riding his Motorcycle along new Motor Park area Gusau, when he was stopped by the suspect and asked him to convey him to Barakallahu area, Gusau. On getting to the destination, the suspect told the complainant to stop and wait by one uncompleted building that he claimed to belongs to him. While the complainant was waiting with his Motorcycle, the suspect armed with stick suddenly appeared and hit the victim to a point of coma. As a result, he fell down uncocious, until few minutes before he regained himself inside a drainage.

Police operatives rushed to the scene and rescued the victim to the hospital where he was treated by medical personnel. The police in Collaboration with the relatives of the victim arrested the suspect along bye pass road, Gusau.

In the course of interrogation, the suspect confessed to the allegations against him and will be charged to court for prosecution. The snatched Boxer Motorcycle was recovered as an exhibit.

The Command will sustain the tempo in order to stem the tide of criminal activities in the state.
