Anambra Police Repel Armed Hoodlums At Uli, Reinforce Security In The Community

Anambra State Police Command Operatives have successfully repelled and dispersed armed criminal elements who were reported to have engaged in sporadic shooting at the Uli community, located within the vicinity of the Uli Campus of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. The police are currently in pursuit of the fleeing hoodlums.

In response to the incident, additional operatives, operational, and intelligence resources of the command have been swiftly deployed to the area to bolster security measures in and around the university campus.

Eyewitnesses reported that the gunmen opened fire indiscriminately and without provocation, causing panic among law-abiding residents of the community. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and calm has been restored in the affected area.

Acting Commissioner of Police, DCP Fidelis Ogarabe, psc, mnips, has directed the operatives to intensify efforts in tracking down the criminal elements responsible for the disturbance. He reaffirmed the commitment of the command to upholding law and order, as well as ensuring the security and safety of residents across the state.

Additionally, individuals can utilize the ‘NPF Rescue Me App’, available on Android and Apple iOS phones, to make reports.
