In a swift response to the recent clash with a notorious Kidnap Gang on Friday night at Awgbu in Orumba North LGA, the Anambra State Police, in collaboration with the Local Vigilante, successfully recovered a loaded AK-47 Rifle with Double Magazines containing 50 Rounds of 7.62mm ammunition.

During a thorough search of the surrounding bushes on Saturday morning, law enforcement officials made the startling discovery and promptly rendered the weapon safe. The recovered AK-47 Rifle has been taken into custody for further investigation.

Commending the Joint Team’s diligence, Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, expressed appreciation for their commitment to public safety and pledged to reward their efforts.

Simultaneously, the Special Anti Kidnapping Unit at Awkuzu has taken charge of the case, following the Commissioner’s directive for a thorough investigation. The Unit’s Commander has assured that every effort will be made to bring the kidnappers to justice.

In a positive turn of events, the four male victims rescued from the kidnappers on Friday have been joyously reunited with their families.
