In a resolute stance against the rising cult activities within the State Capital, Awka, Anambra State’s Police Commissioner, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has pledged unwavering efforts to curtail their influence.
Dubbing these cultists as nothing short of murderers, the Commissioner declared them unsuitable for coexistence within a civil society. He scorned those who, from behind the scenes, enable these cultists to perpetrate heinous acts, labeling them as cowards who ought to bear the weight of shame.
With an unyielding commitment, the Police Command under his leadership intends to severely crack down on these callous cultists who derive pleasure from inflicting harm on others. A stern warning was issued, making it clear that any appeals for the release of arrested cult members during the impending clampdown would only lead to public humiliation.
Under the Commissioner’s directives, an all-encompassing operation has been set in motion to dismantle cult activities and identify their patrons across the State.
While acknowledging the recent unsettling incidents of cult-related violence in the capital, the Commissioner reassured the citizens of Anambra State that their hard-earned peace and tranquility will be reinstated in due course.
He appealed for the collective cooperation of all upstanding members of society, urging them to play an active role in eradicating the deeply rooted issue of cultism.
Through this unified effort, the Commissioner envisions a future where the menace of cult activities no longer plagues the community.
