The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc MNIPS PhD, has called for sustained coordination among security agencies to ensure a unified approach to tackling security challenges in the state.
During a familiarization visit to the State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Awka, CP Orutugu stressed the importance of collaboration in promoting public safety and upholding the rule of law. He noted that effective coordination among security agencies would enhance intelligence sharing, improve operational efficiency, and foster public trust.
He emphasized that seamless cooperation would enable security operatives to anticipate and respond to threats more effectively, while also reducing duplication of efforts. According to him, such synergy would not only strengthen law enforcement efforts but also reassure residents of their safety.
Reaffirming his commitment to strengthening security in the state, CP Orutugu stated that fostering unity among security agencies remains a proactive step toward creating a safer and more secure environment for all.
