The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to enhancing public safety and security across the state.
Addressing officers in charge of Surveillance, Patrol, and Guard units on February 22, 2025, CP Orutugu emphasized professionalism, vigilance, and swift response to security incidents. The meeting, held across various Divisional Headquarters, aimed to reinforce operational efficiency and maintain public trust in the Police Force.
CP Orutugu stressed the importance of prompt security interventions, urging officers to uphold discipline and commitment in the discharge of their duties. He assured residents that the Command remains dedicated to ensuring a safer environment through proactive policing strategies.
As part of efforts to strengthen security, the CP also facilitated the deployment of newly passed-out police recruits to divisions across the state. He charged all personnel to remain courageous and professional, assuring that improved policing services would be delivered to the people of Anambra.
The Anambra State Police Command reiterated its resolve to protect lives and property while continuously implementing measures to address emerging security challenges in the state.
SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed that the Command would sustain efforts to foster public confidence and ensure a secure atmosphere for all residents.
