In a proactive effort to address anticipated traffic gridlock and enhance security during the festive season, the Anambra State Police Command has initiated joint operations with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Delta State Police Command. The operation aims to ensure free-flowing traffic and prevent criminal activities around the First and Second Niger Bridges during and after the yuletide period.
The initiative, embedded in the Operational Plan of Commissioner of Police (CP) Nnaghe Obono Itam, follows a thorough security assessment conducted by the Command’s leadership. CP Itam assured the public that the Anambra State Police Command would continue to implement innovative strategies to safeguard the traveling public while maintaining its focus on crime prevention, law enforcement, and the overall security of lives and property within the state.
The joint operation underscores the Command’s commitment to delivering a safe and hassle-free travel experience for residents and visitors during the festive period. Travelers are advised to cooperate with security personnel and adhere to traffic regulations to ensure a smooth and secure journey.
