The Anambra State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police (CP) Nnaghe Obono Itam, recently host its inaugural Couples’ Night at the Vertex View Hotel Hall, Nibo, Awka. The event, aimed at fostering connection, camaraderie, and relaxation among police officers, brought together officers and their spouses for an evening of fun, bonding, and appreciation.

The program featured a variety of activities designed to strengthen marital and professional relationships. Highlights included marriage counseling sessions, couples’ games, an exchange of gifts, and lively dancing, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for all attendees.

In his remarks, CP Itam emphasized the significance of the event, noting that it was not only an opportunity for officers to unwind but also a platform to recognize their dedication and patriotic service to Ndi Anambra. He expressed optimism that the event would contribute to better morale among officers and enhance their commitment to maintaining safety and combating crime in 2025.

“The Couples’ Night is a token of appreciation for the hard work and sacrifices of our officers,” CP Itam stated. “It also underscores the importance of balance in their personal and professional lives, which is critical to the success of our collective mission to ensure the safety and security of Ndi Anambra.”

SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer for the command, commended the initiative, describing it as a groundbreaking effort to promote unity and support among officers and their families. He further reiterated the Commissioner’s commitment to ensuring a safer Anambra in the coming year.
