In a significant breakthrough, the Anambra State Police Command has successfully arrested two ring leaders associated with the recent spate of killings in Ihiala. The arrests were made during a special operation led by the Police Crack Squad, deployed to Ihiala by Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, to ensure the safety of residents during and after the festive period.
The suspects, identified as Chitana Oha, alias “Kill and Bury” (25 years old), and Emmanuel Ifeanyi Okonkwo, alias “Good and Bad” (24 years old), were apprehended at their hideout in Okija within the same local government area.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, who has previously eradicated cult-related issues in the capital city of Awka, is determined to bring an end to the cult-related killings in Ihiala. He directed the Crack Squad to intensify efforts against the cultists and dismantle their activities. CP Adeoye assured the public that the safety and security of the residents remain the topmost priority for the Anambra State Police Command.
