The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command, CP Itam, hosted a security stakeholders meeting in Ihiala Local Government Area on December 13, 2024, emphasizing the collective responsibility of residents and indigenes in ensuring security and condemning acts that threaten national peace.
In his address, CP Itam reaffirmed the Command’s unwavering commitment to combating violent crimes and restoring order in the state. He called on community members to actively take ownership of their security, highlighting the importance of honest and patriotic involvement in maintaining peace and safety across the region.
The event commenced with a warm reception featuring a cultural dance group and the presence of the Local Government Chairman. CP Itam also held private discussions with key stakeholders, including senior council members, members of the Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG), President Generals, and representatives of traditional rulers.
The Commissioner expressed the Command’s determination to consolidate recent gains in crime prevention, improve law and order, and enhance the safety of lives and property in the state. He urged community leaders to collaborate with law enforcement to sustain progress and ensure long-term stability.
