“Calls For Efforts In Tackling Youth Unemployment”
The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife PhD, felicitates with the government and people of Anambra state as the state commemorates her 30th anniversary.
In a statement on Friday August 27, 2021, by Mr. Kingsley Ubani, SA Media to Senator Uche Ekwunife. Ekwunife stated that the commemoration calls for deep reflection amongst the people of the state, noting that Anambra otherwise known as the light of the nation is blessed with numerous natural resources and human capital. She stated that with unity, peace and synergized efforts the state will realize its potentials.
While paying glowing tributes to the founding fathers and past leaders of the state, Ekwunife reassured constituents of her commitment towards effective representation. She promised not to rest on her laurels, but to continue to use the instrumentality of legislation to attract dividends of democracy to the people.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation appreciated her constituents for their continuous support and noted that the zone has continued to advance in all indices of human, infrastructural and economic development.
The youth-friendly lawmaker bemoaned the rate of youth unemployment and called on the government at all levels to formulate sustainable policies that will create jobs amongst the youths. She recognized the efforts and resilience of the youths whom she described as life wire of the society, noting that she will continue to attract projects and programmes aimed at tackling unemployment as well as assuage the suffering of the less privileged in the society.
Ekwunife urged Ndi Anambra to remain good ambassadors of the state as well as partners in building a better and prosperous society in line with the vision of the state’s founding fathers. She wished all Anambrarians a happy anniversary and prayed God to continue to make the state prosperous for the good of all citizens.
