AltBank Partners With Sterling One Foundation, FoodBank To Address Hunger, Promote Education

The Alternative Bank Limited (AltBank), in collaboration with FoodBank and Sterling One Foundation, is set to raise N20 million to combat hunger and enhance educational programs in line with the African Union Summit’s 2024 focus on educating and skilling Africa for the 21st century.

Hassan Yusuf, Managing Director of AltBank, announced the fundraising initiative, which will be anchored by the upcoming AltWalk event. “This campaign not only reflects our commitment to societal welfare but also enables us to support community needs in meaningful ways,” Yusuf explained in a press release.

The funds raised will be directed towards providing meals for underserved populations and improving educational quality through partnerships with FoodBank and Sterling One Foundation respectively. The initiative invites contributions from individuals, corporations, and other organizations eager to support societal improvements in education, hunger alleviation, and healthy living.

Contributors can make their donations through the campaign’s website at [https://altbank.ng/walk/](https://altbank.ng/walk/), as AltBank works to make a substantial impact on critical social challenges.

Yusuf reiterated the bank’s focus on empowering its customers and the broader community by providing innovative solutions in health, food security, and education, key elements for thriving in the contemporary world.

AltBank, a recent addition to Nigeria’s financial sector and part of Sterling Financial Holdings, has quickly established itself as a significant entity in non-interest banking since its inception in 2014 under Sterling Bank Plc’s license. The bank continues to grow, driven by its ethical banking principles and commitment to community development.
