Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Fayoade M. Fayoade, mni, psc, fisn, today decorated newly promoted Assistant Commissioners of Police at the Zone 2 Command Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos.

During the ceremony, AIG Fayoade expressed his gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D. NPM, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC) for approving the promotions. He congratulated the officers and emphasized the increased responsibilities that come with their new ranks.

AIG Fayoade urged the promoted officers to maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to the rule of law in their interactions with the public. He also stressed the importance of dedication in the ongoing fight against crime and criminality within their respective areas of jurisdiction, reiterating the principle that “to whom much is given, much is expected.”

The newly promoted Assistant Commissioners of Police expressed their sincere appreciation to the Almighty and to the IGP for recognizing their dedication and deeming them worthy of the promotion. They pledged to uphold the trust placed in them and to carry out their duties with increased responsibility and diligence.
