The Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Fayoade M. Fayoade, has decorated newly promoted senior officers at the Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos. The ceremony, which took place on March 27, 2025, saw the promotion of DCP Olayinka Ajeigbe, ACP Saheed Olayinka Egbeyemi, ACP Kazeem Kabir Afolabi, and others to their new ranks.

AIG Fayoade expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd), for approving the promotions. He urged the newly decorated officers to be exemplary leaders, uphold the image of the Force, and remain dedicated to their duties. He also emphasized the importance of people-friendly policing to strengthen public trust.

Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, DCP Olayinka Ajeigbe expressed gratitude to the Almighty, the IGP, and the PSC Chairman for their recognition. He assured that they would live up to expectations and discharge their responsibilities with greater commitment.
