The Zone 2 Command Headquarters commenced its first lecture of the year on Friday, January 10, 2025, under the leadership of Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Fayoade M. Adegoke, mni, psc. Addressing officers at the Zonal Command Headquarters in Onikan, Lagos, AIG Adegoke emphasized the importance of public partnership, professionalism, and quality service delivery in enhancing the Force’s operational effectiveness.
In his remarks, the AIG extended New Year greetings to the officers while encouraging them to adopt a proactive approach to policing. He stressed the need for officers to build strong relationships with the public, prioritize intelligence gathering, and work diligently to reduce crime and criminality to the barest minimum.
AIG Adegoke highlighted the significance of fairness and empathy in law enforcement, urging officers to uphold the principle of equality before the law and treat all citizens with respect and dignity.
In addition to emphasizing professional conduct, the AIG underscored the importance of maintaining good health, which he described as essential for delivering efficient and effective policing services.
The session marked a renewed commitment by the Zone 2 Command to fostering a collaborative and people-centered policing approach aimed at enhancing public trust and safety.
CSP Ayuba T. Umma, the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the Command’s continued dedication to these principles in the year ahead.
