THE ATHLETIC Federation of Nigeria has made it compulsory for organizers of marathon races in the country to always ensure they comply with their prize money claims, therefore it has make it a matter of urgency that henceforth all intending organizers of road races register with the association in order to sanitize and bring decorum to the event.

This much was disclosed by the AFN vice president, Tafida Gadzama who doubled as the Federation head of road races sub committee, saying that this has become pertinent owing to complains by some participant of some road race over unfulfilled cash rewards.

Also the Federation has said it was reacting to warning from it world body that it might face sanction as a result of unpaid prize money, henceforth all organizers of this road athletic event must register annually with the Federation in order to ensure ensure that Athletes taking part in this events are well rewarded.
