A 74-year-old man, identified as Aderinsola Addiths, has been arrested by the Iju Division of the [Police Force Name, e.g., Nigerian Police Force] on suspicion of defiling a 13-year-old girl.

According to police reports, on March 13, 2025, at approximately 1700 hours, the father of the victim, identified as Mr. xxx, reported to the Iju Division that his daughter, Iyanu Adeosun, 13, had been allegedly defiled.

The victim reported that the incident occurred on March 12, 2025, inside the suspect’s room. The victim and suspect reside at the same address, which was not released.

Upon receiving the report, a team of detectives immediately visited the scene. The victim, Iyanu Adeosun, was taken to a hospital for medical examination and treatment.

Aderinsola Addiths was promptly arrested and is currently detained in police custody.

“Investigations into this serious allegation are ongoing,” stated a police spokesperson. “We are committed to ensuring a thorough and impartial investigation to bring justice to the victim.”
