The Director of Administration and Human Resources at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Mrs. Moji A. Jimoh, has been elevated to the prestigious Fellowship cadre of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, marking a defining milestone in her professional journey.
Her induction took place at the 2026 edition of the Nigerian Public Relations Week, a flagship gathering of communication experts held in Kaduna and widely regarded as the sector’s most influential platform for policy and practice dialogue.
Themed Food Security From Public Policy to Public Plate, the conference convened top stakeholders across government, industry and academia to interrogate communication strategies capable of addressing hunger and strengthening public engagement across Africa.
Mrs. Jimoh was among 16 distinguished professionals formally admitted into the Fellowship by the President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ike Neliaku, at a colourful ceremony held at the Banquet Hall of the Kaduna State Government House.
The recognition underscores her sustained contributions to strategic communication, human capital development and institutional governance within NIMASA and the broader maritime ecosystem.
A statement issued by Osagie Edward, Deputy Director and Head of Public Relations at NIMASA, described the honour as well deserved, citing her consistency in advancing professional standards and organisational reputation.
The Fellowship of the Institute represents its highest professional cadre, reserved for practitioners who have demonstrated at least a decade of impactful experience and measurable contributions to the evolution of public relations practice.
Candidates are subjected to a rigorous screening process involving documented evidence of professional excellence, scholarly contributions, as well as presentations and oral interviews before final approval.
Industry observers note that the elevation of senior public sector communicators such as Mrs. Jimoh reflects a growing emphasis on strategic communication as a critical driver of governance, transparency and stakeholder trust.
Her recognition is expected to further strengthen NIMASA’s institutional image and reinforce the role of communication leadership in shaping policy narratives within Nigeria’s maritime and blue economy space.
