UBA Convenes Powerhouse Women For Business Series: Tomike, Awosika, FineFunky Founder Headline ‘Gen W’ Conversations on Leadership

Africa’s Global Bank, United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA), is set to spotlight some of Nigeria’s most dynamic female voices as it convenes a special Women’s Month edition of its quarterly UBA Business Series, bringing together thought leaders to explore the evolving power and influence of women in business.

The highly anticipated edition, themed “Gen W: The Evolved Woman,” will hold on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the bank’s headquarters in Marina, Lagos, with the event also streamed live across the bank’s digital platforms to reach a wider audience across Africa and beyond.

Participants interested in attending the event physically or virtually have been encouraged to register through a dedicated link provided by the bank, underscoring UBA’s commitment to inclusivity and broad participation in the knowledge-sharing initiative.

The forum will be moderated by popular media personality and actor, Tobi Bakre, whose engaging style is expected to drive thought-provoking conversations among an impressive lineup of accomplished female entrepreneurs and professionals.

Among the featured speakers is renowned entrepreneur and founder of the ORÍKÌ Group, Joycee Awosika, who will share insights from her journey in building a premium wellness and lifestyle brand with a strong African identity.

Also taking centre stage is celebrated media personality and digital entrepreneur, Tomike Adeoye, whose influence across media and digital platforms has made her a prominent voice among a new generation of women redefining career and entrepreneurship.

Joining the conversation as well is the founder of the popular lifestyle brand Fine-Funky, Olufunke Davies, alongside award-winning broadcaster Ayo Mario‑Ese, both of whom are expected to offer practical insights on leadership, resilience and navigating modern business realities.

The dialogue will explore how a new generation of African women are deliberately reshaping their professional journeys, embracing innovation, and building enterprises that reflect both purpose and ambition.

UBA’s Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, emphasised that the bank remains committed to creating platforms that amplify visionary women and encourage meaningful conversations about leadership and opportunity.

She noted that the modern African woman is increasingly bold, intentional and forward-looking, stressing that initiatives such as the UBA Business Series serve as catalysts for inspiration, mentorship and professional growth.

Over the years, the UBA Business Series has evolved into a strategic knowledge-sharing platform, equipping entrepreneurs, professionals and emerging business leaders with practical tools and insights required to build resilient and sustainable enterprises across Africa.
