In recent months, the aftermath of the 2023 presidential election has seen a surge in legal battles as parties, influential politicians, and elected officials seek to reclaim their mandates.

While some have found success in the courts, others remain steadfast in their fight against what they perceive as a corrupted system, accusing the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Judiciary of being complicit in the corruption.

One significant case involves the Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi, who filed a petition against Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for allegedly failing to secure 25% of the votes in two-thirds of the states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) during the presidential election.

Notable political activists are now urging the Judiciary to nullify President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory and declare the rightful candidate who obtained the required 25% of lawful votes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Among those critical of the situation is Rowland Okorie, a self-proclaimed political dealmaker of the 21st century and the CEO of Equity Concepts Entertainments, based in the United States of America (USA).

He blames INEC for its inability and failure to electronically transmit polling unit results to its Results Viewing Portal, alleging that this failure is a form of aiding corruption.

Okorie said; “The United State of America will always be the best country in the world where billionaires, ex-presidents and high profile individuals are indicted, persecuted and even arraigned in court.”

Making reference to the former president, he said; “Donald J Trump has been the first. I am calling for the overhaul arrest of anyone involved in trampling Nigerian democracy including INEC chairman. The Nigeria Judicial system cannot be threatened by one man, never in the history of our great country. The Nigerian Judiciary is the best in the world when they are willing to do their jobs. It will be a waste of time to talk about INEC. The evidence is bold and overwhelming that they cannot defend their hasty pronouncement of the winner of the election.”

“The nation have been stranded in progress and little achievements have been marred by tribal leaders which the 2023 election exposed all of them including some professors we listen to everyday in our tertiary institutions. The vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Darti Baba was very right when he called for the end of democracy by installing someone that unconstitutionally fit.”

“The Nigeria Chief Justice is coming to that point where Nigerians will be requesting his recusal. Olukayode Ariwoola in his wisdom should never consider the personal needs of his family before millions of Nigerians,” he concluded.
