Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, Founder, New Nigeria Peoples’ Party has charged party members to educate and enlighten the greater numbers of Nigerians to take responsibility and elect credible Nigerians in the forthcoming election.
The founder while addressing Newsmen said it is not news to all that good governance has eluded the country and had led to difficulties to earn a good life.
“Gentlemen of the press, our gathering today is simple and straight forward. It is my honor to address all of you today in relation to politics and elections into various positions in 2023.
“First to remind all of you that New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is one of the registered political parties of the INEC.
“We all know that as far back 2002, NNPP Commenced it’s operations to mobilize Nigerians in her bid to reinvent a new Nigeria of our dreams.
“It is not news to all that good governance has eluded our country for so long, leading to difficulties to earn a good life. This is remotely caused by our disrespect for the rule of law and regulations.
“The inability of the government to effectively enforce the laws of the land is a major factor under the circumstance and the need to restart civil order becomes imperative.
“Therefore, our invitation to this gathering is to seek for your cooperation to educate and enlighten the greater numbers of Nigerians to take responsibility and elect credible Nigerians in the forthcoming election.
“It is a fact that politics is about interest – who gets what, where, when and how. It is also a process to enthrone good governance for the benefit of greater numbers.
“As the Founder of the Political Party, you will agree with me that for the period of 21 years, I would have joined the main stream politicians but I did not do so. This is because I have not been able to differentiate between the two leading parties which seems to me as two sides of a coin.
“Under the circumstance, I rather wait when it is time for God’s intervention in Nigeria. And so, 21 years thereafter the journey for a new Nigeria has begun. It is common knowledge that all is not well with our country due to several reasons.
“The various agitations of the Zones in our country, starting from matters of marginalization, bad economy to insecurity of the Nigerian state, life is generally very unfavourable to Nigerians.
“At this point, it’s obvious that God has decided to intervene in our country through the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). To achieve this objective the need for a collective responsibility becomes inevitable to redefine Nigeria through quality leadership and good governance.
“Indeed, the problem of Nigeria is so solvable if only leadership is divine. This is because there are no difficulties in bringing all the nationalities together to discuss on how best we can live together as a people. On the aspect of economy, again we must move Nigeria from a consumption nation to a productive economy.
“With all our human capital and natural endowment, the welfare of the officers and men of the country are desirable to ensure orderly nation. The resources are available to cater for social amenities, sports, youths development and education, etc. Indeed, God has been kind to us to live a good life but indeed corruption seems to be our bane as a human factor which is avoidable.
“Let me at this point re-echo the importance of politics as a matter of interest, who gets what, where and when. It is in the public knowledge that New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) originated from the transport industry, logistics businesses and Customs facilitation.
“It is therefore very important that we play a major role in ensuring that NNPP emerges in the forthcoming election 2023. This has become necessary to enable us address the industry problems from within.
“It is important to remind all of us that for the period under review the industry practitioners have been complaining about low productivity and corruption. And yet nobody is listening to us to the extent that our professional callings cannot be achieved including job satisfaction.
“Therefore, we must engage the leadership of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) at the moment to extract firm commitment from them. We must therefore form a strong block and drive membership and finances as part of our contribution to the success of NNPP in 2023. It is only then we can bargain effectively with a view to securing our interest and better future.
“May I at this point call upon all stakeholders in the transport industry, logistics and Customs facilitation to join hands with NNPP to secure our future. The good news is that the Founder of NNPP is from the transport industry and indeed the Founder of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) as well.
“Therefore, the reach and opportunity abound to get the attention of Senator Kwnakwaso who is the sole candidate of the party in the 2023 general election. Let us go out to mobilize all over our clients (importers, exporters dependents and associates) and with our PVC’s on hand to raise 10 million votes for NNPP presidential candidate.
“I hereby encourage all freight forwarders, logistics managers and all other associated stakeholders in the maritime transport and Customs facilitation to return to their various states to mobilize bonafide voters for NNPP contestants in the 2023 general election.” he said.
