2 Dead, 3 Injured As Overhead Water Tank Crashes Into Building In Lagos

Two persons were said to have died while three others severely injured after an overhead water tank crashed into their house in Bariga area of Lagos on Sunday evening.

The unfortunate incident occurred along Adeleke Street, Lady Lark, in Bariga, Lagos State.

It was learnt that those who died in the accident are an adult male and a child while the injured ones are three adult males.

The Public Relations Officer of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in the South-West Region, Ibrahim Farinloye, who confirmed the incident said it was a tank scaffolding located within the premise of a a rwo Storey building that collapsed on the bungalow building in the next compound.

“Two males died, an adult and a child.

While three adult males sustained inquiries and were taken to hospital before the arrival of responders by the community members” he said.

Farinloye further said that emergency responders from NEMA, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Police, officials of both the state and federal fire service as well as those from the store building control Agency were on ground to offer assistance to the residents.
